The new Compass Group encourages and fosters collaboration amongst the next generation of HVAC and BAS leaders.

It also provides an outlet for them to connect and address challenges that they face, with the intent to identify areas to influence and improve the industry as a whole.

This group is part of a pilot program that could lead to a second or third group.

Despite their relatively short careers in the industry, these emerging leaders have become leaders at the companies they represent.

What better opportunity than to leverage the CGNA network to encourage these thought leaders to connect and collaborate to drive the industry forward!

Every person provided insight and tips on what success looks like for the HVAC industry, what challenges exist, and a vision of the future.

Here are a few of the highlights from the meeting.

COMMUNICATION
The group agreed to explore and focus on improving communication and leveraging technology to connect with their customers while adapting to different communication styles.

VISION OF SUCCESS

Because people expect a better overall experience, spending time to improve your website, your showroom, and the way you connect with your customers is a great way to prepare for success.

The group agreed that relationships are significant in the business, and empowering the front-line workers to build relationships with the customer in the future is key to success, providing training opportunities and empowering the staff to make decisions.

ATTRACTING & DEVELOPING TALENT

The group pointed out the need to retain talent and to more importantly attract it.

There are plenty of great opportunities, but there are definitely challenges in recruiting and attracting new talent. The group discussed creative ways to help bring opportunities in HVAC a stronger focus.
